What is type 2 hair?

Type 2 is wavy hair, and it is categorized into 3 different subcategories which are...

Type 2A hair – This is loose tousled hair. It is straight from the roots to end in slight waves and it’s the loosest curls from all wavy hair subcategories. This hair can get oily as the oils are able to move around the scalp easier.

Type 2B hair – This is a tight s shaped curl pattern from mid-length instead of starting from the ends as 2A would. This is a less oily hair type, but it has low density and can be weighed down with products.

Type 2C hair – This is the tightest s shaped waves, and it starts closer to the roots than 2A and 2B. This type is more easier to produce frizz as its more dry than the other subcategories.
